Mitchell N. Reinis brings to the Firm over 30 years of in-depth experience dealing in the areas of business litigation, business formation, appeals, corporate debtor and creditor relations, financial and business planning, licensing, copyright, trademark and music industry practices. A significant part of Mitch's practice involves representation of a wide variety of businesses, many of which are in the apparel industry.
Prior to joining Silver & Freedman, Mitch was a Shareholder at Buchalter Nemer and was part of its Litigation and Business Practices groups. He also chaired the Intellectual Property group. Prior to that he was a Partner at Reinis & Reinis for 16 years.
Mitch is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where he received a B.S. in business/accounting. He earned his LLB from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the same university. Mr. Reinis is admitted to the State Bar of California and to practice in the United States District Courts in the Central, Southern and Northern Districts of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He has also been admitted to practice before the United States Courts on specific cases in Boston, Boise, New York, Oklahoma City and San Antonio, Texas.
Mitch has served as a Judge Pro Tem in the Beverly Hills Municipal Court. He is the former President of the Board of Directors of the Channel Pointe Homeowners Association. Mitch has lectured in various legal educational programs and has been a featured speaker on issues affecting the apparel and textile industry, copyright, civil litigation and appellate procedure.
