Meena P. Kotak

Meena Kotak is senior counsel at Silver & Freedman and a member of the firm's Estate & Probate and Tax Planning Department. Meena practices in the areas of tax, estate planning, probate and trust administration. She assists clients with all phases of estate planning and trust administration, including drafting and implementing the initial estate plan, closing the estate and distributing the assets. She handles probate and conservatorship matters and assists clients with the preparation and filing of federal estate tax returns. She also works with clients to minimize adverse tax consequences related to income, estate and property taxes. In addition, she assists non-profit organizations with formation, application for tax-exempt status, and ongoing compliance.

Meena Kotak is a member of the California State Bar as well as the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Trusts & Estates and Tax sections.

Meena received her J.D. from Pepperdine University, School of Law in 2000. She received her B.A., in Psychology, at Pepperdine University in 1996.
