
Ric Sprunger is a partner at Silver & Freedman and a member of the firm's Business & Tax Department.
He practices in the areas of business planning and real estate. Ric has extensive experience representing clients in the negotiation and preparation of agreements and documentation supporting a wide range of business, commercial and real estate activities. He provides advice and counsel to clients with respect to contracts, general commercial law, formation and governance of business entities, mergers and acquisitions, development and implementation of business and tax strategies, real estate acquisitions and dispositions and leasing transactions.
Committed to civic and community affairs, Ric has served as an officer in the California Army National Guard and as City Treasurer for the City of San Marino, California. He has also served as a Director, Treasurer, and President of the San Marino National Little League, served on various citizen advisory committees for the San Marino Unified School District, and served as a Director and Treasurer of the San Marino Public Library Foundation.
Ric received his J.D. from the University of Southern California School of Law in 1975. He received his B.A., with honors, in international relations, from the University of Southern California in 1971, where he was a Trustee Scholar.
Prior to joining the firm, Ric was a partner in the law firm of Frydrych & Webster, Inc. Ric is also a Certified Public Accountant and developed a broad tax expertise as a Tax Manager for a multinational accountancy and tax firm and as the Director of Tax Research for a major national savings and loan association.
