Stuart Kim is a partner at Silver & Freedman and a member of the firm's Business and Tax Department. Stuart's areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, new company formations, venture capital, and general corporate and business matters. He also has an extensive background in internet and in software, technology and content licensing and outsourcing, as well as strategic alliances and marketing and promotions agreements.
Stuart received his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law in 1993, where he was the Chief Articles Editor for the Asian Pacific Islander Law Journal and the Articles Editor of the
Pacific Basin Law Journal. He received his B.A.from Pomona College, with a double major in philosophy and government.

- $20 million sale of natural cosmetic product company
- $10 million purchase of defense manufacturing company
- $270 million internet distribution/co-marketing agreement
- $90 million acquisition of a company in bankruptcy
- $230 million syndicated loan financing
Prior to joining the firm, Stuart was associated with the law firms of White & Case LLP and O'Melveny & Myers, LLP, and has held in-house counsel positions at the Walt Disney Company and, most recently, Homestore, Inc., where he was Vice-President, Senior Corporate Counsel.
Stuart is a father of three children and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
